Camil Alimentos S.A. Announced earnings results for the second quarter ended August 31, 2020. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was BRL 1,912.609 million compared to BRL 1,223.555 million a year ago. Net income was BRL 138.644 million compared to BRL 40.115 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was BRL 0.6705 compared to BRL 0.1 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was BRL 0.6688 compared to BRL 0.1 a year ago. For the half year, sales was BRL 3,641.593 million compared to BRL 2,460.682 million a year ago. Net income was BRL 248.096 million compared to BRL 89.909 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was BRL 0.6705 compared to BRL 0.2234 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was BRL 0.6688 compared to BRL 0.2234 a year ago.
Camil Alimentos SA is a Brazil-based company primarily engaged in the food processing sector. The Company focuses on the manufacture and commercialization of rice, rice crackers, beans, peas, chickpeas and lentil seeds, soybean-based meals, popcorn, sugar and seafood, among others. The Company's products are distributed under various brand names, including Camil, Pescador, Coqueiro, Uniao, Barra, Dolce, Namorado, Butui, Bonzao, Neve and Ducula in Brazil; Saman in Uruguay; Tucapel in Chile, as well as Costeno and Paisana in Peru.
