Nomad Technologies Holdings Limited provides earnings guidance for the six months ended 31 December 2020. The Group is expected to record a net loss before listing expenses of approximately MYR 0.5 million for the six months ended 31 December 2020 as compared to the net profit before listing expenses of approximately MYR 3.4 million for the six months ended 31 December 2019. The Board considers the expected net loss before listing expenses for the six months ended 31 December 2020 is mainly attributable to: a decrease in revenue of approximately MYR 1.3 million due to, among other things, the prolonged adverse impact caused by the COVID-19 and the relevant nationwide "movement control order" in Malaysia; a decrease in gross profit margin from approximately 41.0% for the six months ended 31 December 2019 to approximately 32.3% for the six months ended 31 December 2020 due to the increase in the cost of telecommunication and network subscription and the increase in the cost of network equipment and hardware; an increase in administrative and other operating expenses of approximately MYR 2.5 million due to the increase in depreciation of property, plant and equipment and the increase in the amount of recognition of unrealised net foreign exchange loss.
