January 29, 2013 Buzzi Unicem recognized by the Carbon Disclosure Project

Buzzi Unicem received an important recognition from the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) for its commitment to counteract climate change and preserve natural resources, at an event held at the Italian Stock Exchange in Milan on November 14, 2012.
CDP is an international initiative that is promoted by the Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors non-profit organization of New York and supported by institutional investors with the goal of assessing strategies adopted by companies to reduce climate change.
Financial markets are paying greater attention to these aspects and tend to esteem companies that are making efforts in this area, attributing them with a greater likelihood of success in the medium-long term.
Buzzi Unicem received recognition as The Best New Discloser in the Italian Sample 2012, meaning that the company scored the highest points among companies who responded for the first time to the CDP questionnaire in 2012.
Buzzi Unicem's disclosure received a score of 90/100, while its commitment to reduce emissions was assessed at level C (>40%).
Buzzi Unicem was also included in the Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI), another assessment tool used by institutional investors.
