Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) together with Paravion, Romania's largest online travel agency, launch 'Leii BVB' on Thursday, January 26, 2017, a new project that aims to engage and reward individual investors who are actively trading on BVB. 'Leii BVB' is a special project which will be carried out throughout the whole year 2017 as a manner of celebrating the 150 anniversary of Leu becoming the national currency of Romania.

'Leii BVB' will take place between February and December 2017. During this time period, monthly awards will be drawn for the active individual investors on the Bucharest Stock Exchange. Investors who have conducted at least one trade in a month will be able to participate in monthly draws where the winners will be awarded city breaks in Europe and in some months, also trips to exotic locations such as Dubai or Kenya.

The stock exchange is all about money and we are proud that we can naturally associate the brand of BVB with the impressive history of the Romanian currency. 'BVB has launched an unprecedented project to turn Romanians who were mere strangers to the capital market into people who find the joy to invest on the stock market and benefit, as time goes by, from the general growth of the share prices or from substantial dividends. We are expecting it to happen gradually once the financial education literacy increases among Romanians, and to which the BVB Group is substantially contributing by investing into several educational projects along with more and more partners,' stated the BVB chairman, Lucian Anghel.

The main rules of the competition are the following:

• Participation is free of charge and is targeted to individual investors who are at least 18 years old
• The competition is open to all individual investors who trade on at least one of BVBs' markets
• All trades are eligible for draw and there is no minimum investment amount
• An individual investor can register up to 100 trades per month
• Each drawing will be done randomly. 150 trades will be randomly drawn, and the investor who made the trade with the largest value will be declared as winner
• The registrations for 'Leii BVB' must be submitted by filling in a form available on the website www.leii-bvb.ro
