By Atos establishes India strategic advisory board and unveils new campus at Pune
Reinforcing its commitment to increase its presence in India

reinforced its commitment to increase its presence in
India with the creation of its India strategic advisory
board and the unveiling of its new campus in Pune.
Mr. Thierry Breton, Chairman and CEO, Atos, said: "Working with prominent Indian business leaders will help Atos to better understand the dynamics of the Indian market and to develop innovative business solutions that meet local market requirements. The opening of the Pune campus, the second Atos Campus that has been designed according to the principles of our Wellbeing@Work program is further evidence of our commitment to increase our presence in this key growing market."
The Atos strategic advisory board is chaired by Thierry Breton and includes prominent Indian business leaders and personalities as well as members of the global senior management team at Atos. It met for the first time on 11th January 2012 and will meet every quarter in order to provide recommendations and guidance on how to position Atos in India in order that it can better contribute to the successful economic and social development of the country. The board will report on a number of topics ranging from business strategy through to local market trends and corporate responsibility in order to help Atos bring to market its innovative solutions that address the the big challenges and opportunities facing the Indian economy today.
The Pune campus will be the headquarters for the Atos business technologists in India and will play a strategic role in the Company's operations, allowing it to become a key global delivery center and the innovation hub for the Group. The campus will be home to the new Atos Future Centre, where technology innovations from the Atos Scientific Community - a global network of around 90 of the best business technologists within Atos - will be developed and showcased.
Commenting on the new facility, Mr. Milind Kamat, CEO Atos India said: "We are pleased to open our new center that will help attract and retain key talents at the center of Pune IT hub. The facility will help us to develop innovative solutions and explore enormous business opportunities across industries".
With 8500 business technologists, India is an important market for Atos both in terms of local business and as an off-shore centre.
