Apple, Google, Samsung, Microsoft and many other device manufacturers are already offering a variety of eSIM- enabled devices like smart watches, smart phones and always connected PCs.

eSIM is a technology enabler promoting cellular as a preferred communications medium for many other devices expected to launch in the coming years...

But what does eSIM disruption mean for the industry's stakeholders?

To enjoy the revenues from the flow of new eSIM- based connected devices, communication service providers need to integrate with every device manufacturer's managing app for registration, profile download and support.

The service provider will also need to:

  • Change their business processes,
  • Adapt their internal BSS, CSR and NOC systems
  • and potentially also reinvent their business model.

On top of it all, service providers need to work hard to offer consumers a DIGITAL, simple and intuitive eSIM experience, which supports everything that the plastic SIM offers today, and much more...
