Amcor Limited (ASX:AMC) entered into an agreement to acquire Alusa S.A. from Tech Pack S.A. (SNSE:TECHPACK) and Nexus Private Equity for approximately $440 million on April 18, 2016. In a related transaction, Amcor Limited agreed to acquire 50% stake in Empaques Flexa S.A.S. and PeruPlast S.A. from Nexus Private Equity on April 18, 2016. The purchase price of $435 million represents 8.5 times PBITDA. Alusa S.A. reported revenues of $375 million in 2015. The acquisition is subject to approval by Tech Pack shareholders, approval of the antitrust regulation, approval of the antitrust regulation entity as well as approval by the relevant regulatory authorities. Tech Pack S.A.’s shareholders has approved the transaction on May 11, 2016. The deal is expected to be completed in the coming months.
