--The U.S. Department of Justice is expected to file an antitrust suit against Alphabet Inc.'s Google this week, Bloomberg reported, citing unnamed sources.

--The case could be filed as soon as Tuesday in federal court and relates to Google's dominance in the digital advertising market, according to the report.

--The Justice Department didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

--This would be the Justice Department's second antitrust case against Google, following its October 2020 lawsuit that accused the search giant of using exclusionary business agreements to shut out competitors.

--Shares slipped 1.4% to $99.80 in premarket trading.
