Alphabet Inc. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2016. For the quarter, the company reported revenues of $26,064 million against $21,329 million a year ago. Income from operations was $6,639 million against $5,380 million a year ago. Income before income taxes was $6,857 million against $5,200 million a year ago. Net income available to all stockholders was $5,333 million or $7.56 diluted per class A, B common stock and C Capital stock against $4,923 million or $7.06 diluted per class A, B common stock and C Capital stock a year ago. Net cash provided by operating activities was $9,413 million against $6,609 million a year ago. Purchase of plant, property and equipment was $3,078 million against $2,102 million a year ago. Adjusted income from operations was $8,485 million against $6,816 million a year ago. Adjusted net income was $6,593 million or $9.36 diluted net income per share of Class A, B common stock and Class C capital stock against $6,043 million or $8.67 diluted net income per share of Class A, B common stock and Class C capital stock a year ago. Free cash flow was $6,335 million.
For the year, the company reported revenues of $90,272 million against $74,989 million a year ago. Income from operations was $23,716 million against $19,360 million a year ago. Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: the United States (45.8%), Americas (5.6%), Europe/Middle East/Africa (30.7%) and Asia/Pacific (17.9%).
