3M Co. plans to cut nearly 100 jobs in Eagan, Minnesota, as it moves ahead with a planned shutdown of a filtration plant there. The closing of 3M's Eagan facility, which is less than 20 miles from 3M's headquarters in Maplewood, had been announced more than a year ago. Initially, the plant was supposed to close by the end of 2018, but 3M now announced it'll begin layoffs in late March. About 10 workers from the site will move to 3M's Maplewood campus, others may reapply for jobs elsewhere in the company.
