* KOSPI rises, foreigners net sellers

SEOUL, June 30 (Reuters) - Round-up of South Korean financial markets:

** South Korean shares rose on Friday, led by gains in auto stocks, but were set to post their worst month so far this year. The Korean won weakened, while the benchmark bond yield rose.

** The benchmark KOSPI rose 7.39 points, or 0.29%, to 2,557.41 by 0203 GMT after three sessions of losses.

** The KOSPI was down 0.42% for the week and 0.69% for the month, but up 3.34% for the quarter and 14.4% for the year.

** Hyundai Motor climbed 1.47% and its sister automaker Kia Corp jumped 2.56%, making them the biggest gainers among index heavyweights.

** "Automakers led the benchmark index higher, with a possibility of advance investments by investors on strong exports," said Kim Dae-jun, an analyst at Korea Investment Securities.

** South Korea's factory production unexpectedly jumped in May, led by cars and chips, while retail sales also rose last month in an encouraging sign for a slowly recovering economy.

** Chipmakers Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix fell 0.28% and 0.86%, respectively, after U.S. peer Micron Technology dropped 4.09% overnight.

** Of the total 934 issues traded, 508 shares rose.

** Foreigners were net sellers of shares worth 67.5 billion won ($51.22 million).

** The won was quoted at 1,319.5 per dollar on the onshore settlement platform, 0.14% lower than its previous close.

** The currency was down 1.16% for the week, up 0.58% for the month, and down 1.33% for the quarter. It has lost 4.2% so far this year.

** In money and debt markets, September futures on three-year treasury bonds dropped 0.31 point to 103.61.

** The most liquid three-year Korean treasury bond yield rose by 10.1 basis points to 3.685%, while the benchmark 10-year yield also jumped by 10.1 basis points to 3.726%.
