NORTHBROOK, Ill. and OVERLAND PARK, Kan., Jan. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- UL Innovadex announced today that it had reached an agreement with Advanced Technology Group (ATG) to jointly deploy teams in Overland Park, Kansas and Missoula, Montana to aid in the Company's global information acquisition program. The teams, which may grow to over 30 people, will be hired by ATG and managed under the contract with UL Innovadex.

The Overland Park, Kansas-based division of UL is the world's leading search and information exchange platform for supplier chemicals, ingredients and raw materials, and has become a hub for UL's ambitions in information technology. UL's Information and Insights Group seeks to complement the company's portfolio of certification, testing, inspection, advisory and education services businesses with a leading-edge product and supply chain information enterprise. One of four UL-acquired firms in the past eighteen months, UL Innovadex is leading the initiative to index and profile raw materials across the global manufacturing sector. Sister divisions within Information and Insights offer software solutions that will allow potential users of those materials to filter and analyze data for safety, health and sustainability issues as early in the product development process as possible.

"We were pleased to find in ATG a partner that had related experience and that could rapidly hire and deploy a team with the needed skillsets for moving our initiative forward," said Jim Dodd, Managing Director of UL Innovadex. "Our global information acquisition program is a massive undertaking, one which will likely require Overland Park expansion along with coordination of similar sites around the world."

"UL Innovadex's success has afforded both firms the opportunity to have a positive effect on our local economy," said Chris Herbig, Founder and Chief Operating Officer of ATG. "The job creation alone is cause to celebrate; we are excited to get started and look forward to a very successful partnership."

Innovadex was originally founded by Bruce Ianni, 2008 Pipeline Innovator of the Year, who partnered with the Enterprise Center of Johnson County ("ECJC") in the early development of the company.
