Outside of the Senate's package of legislation that would potentially provide a framework to end the budget impasse, the lame duck session provided only a few pieces of legislation that are worth mentioning.

SB 2799 (Collins/Breen) passed both chambers unanimously. This agreed bill would amend the Employee Sick Leave Act by cleaning up several provisions in the act. Among the changes included exempting collective bargaining agreements and clarifying paid and unpaid employees are covered under the act.

House Amendment 4 to SB 513 (Bush/Currie) passed both chambers on Tuesday. This bill would extend the sunset date of the EDGE tax credit program to April 30, 2017.
