Mr. John Johnson is Chief Executive Officer at CRU International Co. Ltd.
He was responsible for regular analysis work and forging business relations with metals and mining companies around the world.
He also worked on many consultancy assignments in the ferrous and non-ferrous area.
He has been located in Beijing since April 2004, when he opened a CRU Chinese Representative office.
He has now gained extensive experience in China, and has continued to enhance CRU relations with all leading Chinese steel and non-ferrous companies, industry associations and government departments, as well as managing and contributing to various local projects in metals and mining related areas.
Mr. Johnson joined CRU in September 1989 as a Senior Consultant in the Aluminium team, having previously been an Economist with P&O Shipping in the UK.
In 1994, he became Research Manager of the Steel team, and was promoted to Steel Group Manager in 2003.
After spending ten years researching the metals industry, in 2004, he was appointed Business Development Manager in China, responsible for CRU affairs.
John Johnson holds an MA in Economics and Politics from York University, and is a member of the Institute of Freight Forwarders.
