Alliant Techsystems, Inc. designs and manufactures aerospace, defense, and commercial products. It operates its business through three segments: Aerospace Group, Defense Group, and Sporting Group. The Sporting Group develops and produces commercial ammunition, accessories, rifles and shotguns for the hunting, shooting, law enforcement, outdoor and sporting markets. The company was founded on May 2, 1990 and is headquartered in Arlington, VA.
