Mr. Davies joined Buchanan Street in August, 2005, after spending three years running his own hotel investment advisory firm.
Prior to launching his own firm, Mr. Davies was a First Vice President and Regional Director of the Hotel & Leisure Advisory Group at CB Richard Ellis.
Before that, he was among the top producers at Grubb & Ellis where he began his career in 1983 and was a founding member of the company's Hospitality Services Group.
Among his many achievements, Mr. Davies is credited with coming up with the idea to convert the former First Interstate Bank building into a hotel and convincing Omni Hotels to acquire the building and convert it into what is today the San Francisco Omni Hotel.
Mr. Davies has been a frequent speaker at various hospitality industry events and is often quoted in various hotel and business articles.
He is also noted for his dedication to various charitable organizations serving disadvantaged children.
Davies graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Legal Studies.
