Christopher Miles Oglethorpe

Chris Oglethorpe has overall responsibility for the Operations, Human Resources, Corporate and Internal Communications teams and People Policies, Culture and Organisation at Aviva Investors.
He previously worked for Lazard in London, where he was most recently European HR Director and Chief Operating Officer for Lazard, London.
In addition to Human Resources, his responsibilities in this role included Technology, PR, Facilities and Internal Audit.
Between 2002 and 2004 he held the role of HR Director and Global HR Coordinator, leading the London HR team and coordinating Lazard’s global Human Resources effort.
Prior to that, he worked for NatWest/Royal Bank of Scotland where he was Director, Human Resources, Global Infrastructure, Global Financial Markets.
He has also held senior HR roles in Unilever and BT.
Chris Oglethorpe holds a BA in Commerce from Birmingham University, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management from Suffolk College.
He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
