They are a subsidiary of Balyasny Asset Management Holdings LP. BAM provides investment advisory services to high net-worth individuals and institutional clients through privately offered pooled investment funds.

Weiss in 1978. GWAI was reorganized in 2005 and Weiss Multi-Strategy Advisers LLC was formed as the investment advisory entity which would manage GWAI?s private investment funds, managed accounts and proprietary capital.
