Zurich has appointed Kristof Terryn as CEO of its Global Life division, effective immediately. Terryn succeeds Kevin Hogan, who has been appointed as CEO of US insurer AIG's Global Consumer Insurance division. Before joining Zurich, Terryn worked in the financial services practice of McKinsey & Company in Brussels and Chicago.

Zurich's current chief information technology officer Markus Nordlin will replace Terryn as group head of operations on an ad interim basis.
