ASX ANNOUNCEMENT

ZIMPLATS HOLDINGS LIMITED ARBN 083 463 058 (""Zimplats""or ""the Company"") RETRACTION OF STATEMENT

On 30 November 2016 Zimplats released an ASX announcement titled "Approval of New Underground Mine" (the ASX Announcement). That announcement included the following statement: "The project will increase Zimplats' mineral reserves by 3 million to 9 million platinum ounces" (the Statement).

Following consultations with the ASX, Zimplats hereby retracts the Statement. The Statement in the ASX Announcement was not accompanied by the disclosure of additional information as required by Rules 5.9 and

5.22 of the ASX Listing Rules and Clause 34 of the JORC Code which specify a number of requirements for the reporting of Ore Reserves estimates. Zimplats had been of the view that an update on the Company's Ore Reserves estimates, including Mupani Mine and the normal mining depletion, would be included in the Company's half-year report for the period ended 31 December 2016.

As a consequence of the retraction of the Statement, Zimplats advises that the Statement should be disregarded and that accordingly investors should not rely on the retracted Statement for their investment decisions.

Zimplats advises that the rest of the ASX Announcement remains as previously issued on 30 November 2016.
