Wunderman/Y&R New York's "Race the Sun" campaign for Land Rover USA was named The Cutting Edge Project of the Week, January 20, 2014. The award, curated by Adobe and FWA, is presented to the work that best highlights the newest capabilities of the modern Web, leveraging the latest technologies to push forward and set new standards for what is possible online.

"Race the Sun" is an interactive film and racing game that lets players use their mobile phones to control a virtual Range Rover Sport on their computer screens. The site was praised by the jury for its "incredible production levels" and "impressive cross device experience."

As Rob Ford, FWA Founder, commented, "There was a time when this type of project would have been unimaginable but now it's a reality. This is not purely about game play, as you actually take the central role in this film."

Fellow FWA judge Jean-Frederic Passot called the experience "perfectly designed for desktop and mobile phone."

Team Land Rover received previous FWA nods when "Race the Sun" was featured as Site of the Day earlier this month and Mobile of the Day in December 2013.
