Witbe announced on Thursday evening that American telecommunications operator Paul Bunyan had chosen it to monitor the quality of its TV streams.

Paul Bunyan, a specialist in fiber optics for rural networks, is now using Witbe's robots and software to remotely monitor the channels running on its set-top boxes in real time.

Witbe's proactive supervision technology tests and supervises video content and services broadcast on devices such as smart TVs or smartphones connected to a Witbox, in order to measure their quality.

Its range of intelligent robots assess the picture and sound quality of the video service just as a human would.

Whenever service quality declines or is interrupted, Paul Bunyan's teams receive immediate alerts that help them to resolve the errors.

This data is then compiled within a key indicator analysis portal, where Paul Bunyan's teams can analyze results according to devices, regions and different software versions.
