Whirlpool Corporation announced earnings results for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2020. For the fourth quarter, the company announced sales was USD 5,798 million compared to USD 5,382 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 716 million compared to USD 424 million a year ago. Net income was USD 497 million compared to USD 288 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 7.9 compared to USD 4.56 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 7.77 compared to USD 4.52 a year ago. For the full year, sales was USD 19,456 million compared to USD 20,419 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 1,623 million compared to USD 1,571 million a year ago. Net income was USD 1,081 million compared to USD 1,184 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 17.24 compared to USD 18.6 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 17.07 compared to USD 18.45 a year ago.
