The DEFF, advised in an email to the Company's lawyers late last Friday that the appeal is one of the Department's back log matters and is currently being worked on. It was also confirmed that the DEFF's offices are fully functional, the Department is committed to finalising the appeal soon and aims to provide a recommendation to the minister on the outcome of the appeal in the next two weeks. Previous delays to the appeals process were as a result of the South African COVID-19 lockdowns in 2020.
