Hughes Network Systems Llc. Has partnered with VeloCloud to add the VMware SD-WAN to its HughesON Managed SD-WAN portfolio for enterprise customers. With this platform, customers will have access to multiprotocol label switching, cloud on-ramp services and native ability for voice-over-IP optimization over wireless or wired broadband networks, according to a press release.

Users can deploy VMware on-site, on the cloud or a hybrid model. The VMware platform supports both Next Generation Firewall and Zero Trust security architectures, according to the release.

"Adding VMware's VeloCloud-powered SD-WAN strengthens our position as the one-stop shop for the distributed enterprise’s SD-WAN needs," Mike Tippets, vice president of enterprise marketing, Hughes, said in the release. "Now organizations of all types and sizes can choose from among the leading SD-WAN platforms in the industry while receiving the benefits of our managed service expertise in tailoring the right network and security solutions for their operations."
