URS Corporation (NYSE: URS) today announced that it has been awarded a task order from the Department of Defense to provide aviation maintenance services for the U.S. Army. The two-year task order, which was awarded under URS' Contract Field Teams (CFT) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract, has a maximum value of $129 million to URS.

Under the task order, URS will provide aviation maintenance, program management and logistics support for rotary wing aircraft and related equipment at bases in the state of Washington and the Republic of Korea. URS also will repair, rebuild or overhaul aircraft systems and components and provide maintenance services to support military units involved in joint training exercises and mobilization activities.
