Former Goldman Sachs banker to become Uniper CFO

Uniper was nationalized following billions in losses as a result of the Russian gas supply freeze. The federal government has owned 99.1 percent of the shares since the end of 2022.

Düsseldorf (Reuters) - Former Goldman Sachs banker Jutta Dönges is to become the new CFO of the nationalized energy group Uniper.

Dönges is to succeed Tiina Tuomela on March 1, the company announced on Friday. She will relinquish the seat on Uniper's Supervisory Board that she only took over in December at the end of February. Dönges is a proven financial expert and was, among other things, Managing Director of the Federal Finance Agency in Frankfurt until last year. She was appointed to the Uniper Supervisory Board by the federal government in December.
