TotalEnergies, operator of onshore block OML 58 in Nigeria with a 40% interest, and the Nigerian national oil company NNPCL (60%), announce that they have made the final investment decision (FID) for the development of the Ubeta gas field.

Located on Block OML58, northwest of Port Harcourt, the Ubeta gas condensate field will be developed from a new six-well cluster, connected to the existing Obite facilities by an 11-kilometer buried pipeline.

Production, scheduled to start up in 2027, is expected to reach a plateau of 300 million cubic feet per day. The Ubeta gas will feed the NLNG liquefaction plant in Bonny, in which TotalEnergies holds a 15% stake.
