Digital Barriers plc announced the award of a development contract by a major US government agency, a new customer for the Group. Valued at approximately £400,000, the contract is to support the group's ongoing development of world-class video surveillance products based on its TVI technology, one of the group's core strategic technologies. Digital Barriers plc also announced two important contract awards for products based on its ThruVision passive screening technology, also one of the Group's core strategic technologies.

The first, by an existing US customer, is valued at approximately £300,000 and will be fulfilled this financial year; it is for the standoff detection of person-borne explosive devices, and should lead to further sales nextyear. The second, with a new UK-based partner working in specialist sectors in the Middle East, is for the protection of high-profile overseas government locations; it is valuedat approximately £350,000 and will also be fulfilled this financial year with further sales expected next year.
