Terumo Corporation and Talis Clinical Announce Partnership to Deliver Intelligent, Real-Time guidance to CVOR and CVICU to Improve Outcomes

Terumo Corporation and Talis Clinical announced a global strategic partnership. The company has made a minority interest investment in the Ohio software company and will provide a distribution channel for Talis Clinical's software into cardiovascular operating rooms (CVOR) and intensive care units (CVICU). The partnership allows Talis Clinical to further expand its products into the cardiac care space. The company expects to begin selling Talis' Advanced Clinical Guidance Systems for the CVOR and CVICU in Spring 2019 with a unique application for ECMO management coming later in 2019.
Terumo Corporation specializes in the design, manufacturing and marketing of medical products and equipments. Net sales break down by family of products as follows:
- cardiac surgery devices (53.5%);
- medical products for hospitals (28.6%): medical devices, nutritional additives, oxygen, medical measuring devices (thermometers, tensiometers, glucometers, etc.), etc.;
- sanguine transfusion equipments (17.9%).
Net sales break down geographically as follows: Japan (32.9%), America (29.5%), Europe (19.6%), China (7.4%) and other (10.6%).
