~ 2 teams from Tata Power's Jojobera plant won Award for Excellence ~

Tata Power, India's largest integrated power company has always excelled in its operational excellence and implementation of projects. Continuing with the lineage, Tata Power's Jojobera team have triumphed emphatically at the National Quality Circle convention held at Raipur. The two teams named, 'Black Diamond' & 'Achievers' from Tata Power's Jojobera plant achieved the 'award for excellence' at the coveted competition competing against 1500 other teams from various corporate houses, who participated at the convention.

The project title for team Black Diamond was Conveyor Belt Running Off Centre while team Achievers presented a case study on Difficulty in handling the CT fan motor during maintenance.

Congratulating on the stupendous achievement, Mr. V. V. Namjoshi, Chief-Jojobera Station, Tata Power, said 'We at Tata Power are extremely happy and proud with the consistency of the performance by the two teams from our Jojobera plant. The success at National Quality Circle convention and at Quality Circle convention at Durgapur stands as the testimony to the excellent quality and knowledge that our teams display in operations. The National Convention were held at Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Professional Management and Technology, Raipur. The Theme of the convention for the year was 'People's Participation and Passion - The Path Way to Overall Success'. The efforts of both the teams were highly appreciated in which they competed against the likes of Tata Steel, Jindal steel, Durgapur Steel Plant, IISCO Steel plant, Tata Jharia, Bhilai Steel Plant, NTPC, Phillips Carbon Ltd., Jusco, Exide Battery and many more.
