Sporting and Puma have agreed an extension of the brand's sponsorship of the Club, which first began in 2006.

The new deal will come into effect as of the 1st of July, with the Alvalade Club once again welcoming Puma as sponsor for Sporting's futsal team and professional and youth football setups.

The president of Sporting's board of directors, Luís Godinho Lopes, proved satisfied with the deal. "Sporting Clube de Portugal has been looking to strengthen its relationships with its commercial partners. It makes total sense to maintain our relationship with what is both a national and international leader and this deal is a part of this board's plans for the Club in the coming years.

It is in that light that we have extended our partnership with Puma. It has been a great relationship and we would like to further take advantage of that relationship in the reaching of our objectives", said the Alvalade chief.

Puma Portugal's Country Manager, David Dinis, was at the signing as the brand's representative: "We are really enthusiastic with the extension of our contract, which sees us extend a relationship that began back in 2006. For Puma, it has been a real honour to have teamed up with Sporting for such a long period of time, especially when the Club is looking strong and is set on winning.

We want to play our part in that and we believe that we have an innovative role to play when it comes to the Club's kits. We don't just want to help Sporting win; we want to do it in style."
