Spirax-Sarco confirms name change to Spirax Group

Spirax-Sarco Engineering PLC - Cheltenham-based manufacturer of pumps and steam management systems - Confirms name change to Spirax Group PLC. The rebrand was announced back in February. At the time, Spirax said the change reflects the "development of the company over many years into a larger and stronger group of three aligned businesses with differentiated and complementary capabilities." The three businesses it referred to are Steam Thermal Solutions (previously Steam Specialties), Electric Thermal Solutions and Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions.

Current stock price: 8,835.00 pence each, up 0.3% in London on Wednesday

Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc is the world leader in designing, producing, and marketing steam and fluid monitoring and control equipment, intended primarily for the pharmaceutical, petrochemical, and food industries. The group is also the world's No. 1 manufacturer of peristaltic pumps. Sales break down by product family as follows: - steam and fluid control equipment (53.8%; Spirax Sarco and Gestra). The group also offers training services; - peristaltic pumps (30.3%; Watson-Marlow); - temperature control and heat production system (15.9%; Chromalox, Thermocoax, Vulcanic et Durex Industries). Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: the United Kingdom (7.1%), Germany (8.3%), Europe/Middle East/Africa (24.9%), the United States (26.9%), America (8.9%), China (13.2%) and Asia/Pacific (10.7%).
