SOCIETE GENERALE APPOINTS GROUP COUNTRY HEAD FOR GERMANY

Societe Generale is pleased to announce that Guido Zoeller is appointed Group Country Head for Germany, effective 1st January 2014, in addition to his current functions as Chief Country Officer of Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking in Germany. He is also appointed member of the General Management Committee of Societe Generale Group.
With more than twenty years of experience in banking, Guido Zoeller joined the bank in 2010 as Head of Coverage and Investment Banking for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He previously held various positions for Merrill Lynch/Bank of America, Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank. He was Chief Country Officer for Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking in Germany since July 2012.

Biography Guido Zoeller

Guido Zoeller joined Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking in 2010 as Head of Coverage and Investment Banking for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He is Chief Country Officer of Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking in Germany since July 2012.

Before joining Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking, he worked for Merrill Lynch / Bank of America as a Managing Director within the Investment Banking division, Senior Client Coverage.

He started his career at Commerzbank in 1990. There, after five years in various functions and locations, he joined the corporate finance department of Commerzbank as a Senior Manager and Team Head, Client Coverage, in London. From 1997 to 2006, he worked at Deutsche Bank, at last as Director Corporate Finance,

Client Coverage. During the first two years (1997-1999) he was with Bankers Trust in London and Frankfurt,

which was then taken over by Deutsche Bank in 1999.

Guido Zoeller holds a second degree in law and studied law and economics in Passau and Bonn.
