SKYCITY Entertainment Group's plans for a major expansion of its Adelaide Casino have been approved by South Australia's Development Assessment Commission. South Australia's development approval authority gave the green light to the proposed design, which includes an 80-room luxury hotel, premium gaming spaces and additional signature restaurants. SKYCITY is planning to spend up to AUD 300 million to transform the Adelaide Casino into a integrated entertainment destination on the Riverbank Precinct, adjacent to the Torrens River.

SKYCITY hopes to start construction by mid-year. Precise timings remain dependent on the finalization of the site lease with the South Australia Government and coordination with the Government's plans and those of other developers being approved for the broader development of the Riverbank Precinct.
