Simplex Financial Holdings Co., Ltd. (TSE:7176) signed a share transfer agreement to acquire 30.1% stake in StormHarbour Japan Ltd. from Stormharbour Securities Uk Ltd on November 28, 2019. Post completion, StormHarbour Japan, Concordia Financial Group, Simplex Financial Holdings and Mercuria Investment will hold 16.3%, 49.9%, 30.1% and 3.7% respectively. Storm Harbor Securities Co., Ltd. will become an affiliate accounted for by the equity method of Simplex Financial Holdings Co., Ltd. The transaction is expected to complete by the end of December 2019. The transaction is expected to complete in end of December 2019.
Simplex Financial Holdings Co., Ltd. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the operation of an investment management business. The Company provides financial products to domestic and foreign institutional investors, including domestic and overseas family offices, universities, pension funds, governments, banks, pensions, and others.
