Tomboy Corp. announced that it has received KRW 9.7 billion in funding from Shinsegae International Co., Ltd. and other investors.

Tomboy Corp. announced that it will raise KRW 10,000,000,000 in funding on November 28, 2012. The company will issue 20,000,000 common shares at KRW 500 per share in the transaction to existing shareholders. 0.5336852 new shares will be issued for each existing share held. The subscription period will start on January 14, 2013 and end on January 15, 2013. The payment date is January 17, 2013. Shinsegae International Co., Ltd. will subscribe to 19,212,667 shares for KRW 9,606,333,500 and will hold 96.06% stake on closing of the transaction.
On January 18, 2013, Tomboy Corp. closed the transaction. The company issued 19,396,657 shares for gross proceeds of KRW 9,698,328,500. Shinsegae International Co., Ltd. subscribed to 19,212,668 shares and other investors subscribed to 183,989 shares. Shinsegae International Co., Ltd. will thereby hold 97.08% stake in the company pursuant to the transaction.
Shinsegae International Inc is a Korea-based company principally engaged in the distribution of clothing. The Company operates its business through two segments. The Fashion Lifestyle segment imports overseas fashion brands directly into Korea and sells them through distribution channels, as well as plans and produces casual brands such as women's clothing and lifestyle brands. The Cosmetic segment plans and produces overseas and self-production cosmetic brands. The Company sells its products within domestic market and to overseas markets.
