Shima Seiki Manufacturing Ltd. revised earnings guidance for the second quarter ending September 30, 2016 and for the full year ending March 31, 2017. For the second quarter ending September 30, 2016, on consolidated basis the company expects, net sales of JPY 29,600 million, operating income of JPY 5,500 million, ordinary income of JPY 2,300 million and net income attributable to owners of the parent of JPY 1,700 million or JPY 49.68 per share compared to previous guidance net sales of JPY 30,000 million, operating income of JPY 5,500 million, ordinary income of JPY 5,300 million and net income attributable to owners of the parent of JPY 3,400 million or JPY 99.36 per share.
For the full year ending March 31, 2017, on consolidated basis the company expects, net sales of JPY 63,000 million, operating income of JPY 11,500 million, ordinary income of JPY 8,000 million and net income attributable to owners of the parent of JPY 5,500 million or JPY 160.74 per share compared to previous guidance net sales of JPY 63,000 million, operating income of JPY 11,500 million, ordinary income of JPY 11,000 million and net income attributable to owners of the parent of JPY 7,000 million or JPY 204.57 per share.
For the second quarter ending September 30, 2016, on non-consolidated basis the company expects, net sales of JPY 24,740 million, ordinary income of JPY 120 million and net income attributable to owners of the parent of JPY 10 million or JPY 0.29 per share compared to previous guidance net sales of JPY 25,500 million, ordinary income of JPY 4,500 million and net income attributable to owners of the parent of JPY 3,000 million or JPY per share.
For the full year ending March 31, 2017, on non-consolidated basis the company expects, net sales of JPY 55,000 million, ordinary income of JPY 5,700 million and net income attributable to owners of the parent of JPY 4,000 million or JPY 116.90 per share compared to previous guidance net sales of JPY 55,000 million, ordinary income of JPY 9,200 million and net income attributable to owners of the parent of JPY 6,200 million or JPY 181.19 per share.

The Flat Knitting Equipment segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of computer flat knitting equipment and semi jacquard flat knitting equipment.
