The Groupe SEB Foundation's work in skills sharing,
labor force reentry and social reintegration earned the
Group the accolades of the jury of the 2011 National
Corporate Citizen Award, in the Large Company category. The
award ceremony was held on December 14 at the Senate in
Paris.
Created by the CIDAN (Civisme Défense Armée Nation/civic
spirit, defense, army, nation) association to promote and
develop civic spirit and citizenship, this prize is awarded
to companies whose actions for the public good make them
true role models. The jury is composed of leaders in the
business and social world.
Groupe SEB presented three partnerships established with
workforce development organizations, all of which are
consistent with its social responsibility initiative: EIDRA
(packaging and corporate concierge services), Envie
(refurbishment of appliances and waste processing) and
TAE-ATD Quart Monde (IT, construction, cleaning
services).
"This award acknowledges the depth of the
involvement of the Group's employees who volunteer for
these actions, and the Foundation would like to thank them
for their commitment," stresses Sophie Le Joille,
Corporate Philantropy Project Manager.
