Sanyo Chemical Announces Support for the Task Force on Climate-related Financial

Disclosures

Sanyo Chemical declared its support for the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).

The TCFD is a task force created by the Financial Stability Board (FSB) at the request of the G20 to provide market participants with recommendations to address the financial impact of climate change on their business. Efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions under the Paris Agreement are shifting into high gear around the world. TCFD recommends public- and private-sector participants to disclosure the financial impact of climate change risks and opportunities on Governance, Strategy, Risk management, Metrics and Targets.

Under the corporate motto of "Let us contribute to building a better society through our corporate activities," Sanyo Chemical is working on sustainable management that considers sustainability in the environment, society, and economy. By supporting to theTCFD, we will reflect climate-related risks and opportunities in our management strategy, contribute to the realization of a sustainable society, and disclose them in financial statements, etc. to continuously improve corporate value.
