Sanrio Company, Ltd. reports consolidated and non-consolidated earnings results for the full year ended March 31, 2021. For the year, on consolidated basis, Net sales were JPY 41,053 million against JPY 55,261 million reported a year ago. Operating loss were JPY 3,280 million against profit of JPY 2,106 million reported a year ago. Net loss attributable to owners of parent were JPY 3,960 million against profit of JPY 191 million reported a year ago. Net loss per share was JPY 47.93 against earnings of JPY 2.26 reported a year ago.
For the year, on non-consolidated basis, Net sales were JPY 30,563 million against JPY 38,044 million reported a year ago. Operating loss were JPY 1,757 million against profit JPY 330 million reported a year ago. Profit were JPY 6,542 million against JPY 1,738 million reported a year ago. Net profit per share was JPY 79.18 against JPY 20.54 reported a year ago.
Sanrio Company, Ltd. is a Japan-based company mainly engages in the planning and sales of social communication gift products, theme park business and others. Social Communication Gifts business mainly involves in the planning and sales of social communication gifts, as well as greeting cards, publications, the production and sales of video software, and the licensing and management of copyright. The Theme Park business operates theme parks, and plans and provides musicals and others. In addition, the Company is also engaged in the sale and leasing of robots, automobile loan, property and casualty insurance agency business and others.
