The Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) is an international, non-profit organization that develops voluntary standards for digital television.
Since 2000, the ATSC has commended its highest honor, the Bernard J. Lechner Outstanding Contributor Award, to one individual a year for their exceptional work within the industry.
