Reliance Industries Limited announced earnings results for the third quarter ended December 31, 2020. For the third quarter, the company announced total revenue was INR 1,284,500 million compared to INR 1,604,470 million a year ago. Net income was INR 131,010 million compared to INR 116,400 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 20.33 compared to INR 18.24 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 19.93 compared to INR 18.24 a year ago. For the nine months, total revenue was INR 3,445,200 million compared to INR 4,821,850 million a year ago. Net income was INR 359,010 million compared to INR 330,060 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 55.65 compared to INR 53.29 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 54.86 compared to INR 53.29 a year ago.
Reliance Industries Ltd is a diversified group organized around 6 areas of activity:
- refining of petroleum products (58.4% of net sales): liquefied petroleum gas, propylene, naphtha, gasoline, kerosene, etc. At the end of March 2021, the group operated a refinery in India. The group also produces petrochemicals (polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, polyester, purified terephthalic acid, paraxylene, ethylene, olefins, benzene, butadiene, acrylonitrile and caustic soda);
- distribution of consumer products (28.3%): distribution of food products, clothing and accessories, consumer electronics, etc. through a network of 12,711 stores in India;

- exploration and production of crude oil and natural gas (0.3%);

- other (7.7%): telecommunications and media services, textile manufacturing, etc.
India accounts for 61.5% of net sales.
