RCL Foods Limited agreed to Spin-Off Poultry and animal feeds business.

RCL Foods Limited agreed to Spin-Off Poultry and animal feeds business on March 1, 2024. Following the strategic review of RCL FOODS, the board provided its preliminary approval on March 1, 2024, to pursue the formal separation of Rainbow, via an unbundling to shareholders and a concurrent listing on the JSE. As of June 4, 2024, the board has approved the transaction.

The distribution ratio will be 1:1. Rainbow Chicken, will be listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange with a target date of June 26, 2024. The record date has been set at June 25, 2024. The spinning off of the Rainbow Chicken business will be completed with the distribution of newly-listed shares to RCL shareholders on a one-to-one basis.

The shares will start trading on July 1.
