QBE INSURANCE GROUP LIMITED QBE Insurance Group Ltd. announced the appointment of Mr. David Fried as Chief Executive Officer, QBE Asia Pacific. He will join QBE on 8 April 2013 and will be based in Singapore. Mr. Fried's most recent role is as Regional Chief Executive Officer of Allianz Asia Pacific, where he was responsible for a life and non-life business across 14 countries.
He previously worked with HSBC for 27 years, including as its Group Head of Insurance, and prior to that, as its Asia Pacific Regional Head of Insurance. Mr. Fried has also worked in New York and in insurance broking in London.
