PostRock Energy Corporation reported unaudited consolidated earnings and operating results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2014. For the quarter, the company reported net loss and loss before income taxes of $6.3 million on total revenues of $21.8 million compared to net loss and loss before income taxes of $7.9 million on total revenues of $16.1 million for the corresponding period last year. Net loss attributable to common stockholders was $7.6 million or $0.25 basic and diluted loss per share against net loss attributable to common stockholders of $11.4 million or $0.50 basic and diluted loss per share of prior year period. Operating income was $0.703 million against operating loss of $3.7 million of prior year period. Net cash flows from operating activities were $1.5 million against cash flows used in operating activities of $2.8 million of prior year period. Expenditures for equipment, development and leasehold were $4.4 million against $9.2 million of prior year period. During the quarter, capital expenditures totaled $6.8 million. This included $2.0 million spent on development projects which include the three Central Oklahoma development work overs. LBITDA was $0.825 million against EBITDA of $4.109 million a year ago. Adjusted EBITDA was $2.787 million against $6.121 million a year ago.

Total natural gas production for the quarter was 3,720 mmcf against 3,258 mmcf of prior year period. Total crude oil production was 32,679 Bbls against 53,586 Bbls of prior year period. Oil production averaged 595 barrels a day, a 64% increase from the prior-year period.

The company's April oil production was 695 net barrels a day, or 17% above the first quarter's average.
