Ponsse has updated its global operating model, with the new model having entered into force on 1 June 2024. A shift to a global organisational structure and reporting guidelines is a key part of the new operating model. The new operating model enables a customer-driven organisation focused on sales and maintenance services, divided into five market areas. From 1 June 2024, the company's market areas are: 1) Nordic countries and the Baltics; 2) Europe; 3) North America; 4) South America; and 5) Asia, Australia and Africa.
As a result of the update, Ponsse Group will also change its segment division. From now on, Ponsse's operating segments will be based on the market areas, and they have been defined in accordance with reporting, which is monitored by the company's highest operational decision-making body. The change in the reporting structure will have an impact on Ponsse's financial reporting from the second quarter of 2024.
The tables below present Ponsse Group's segment information for 2023 in accordance with the previous and new operating segments. The figures are unaudited.
