By Four Polaris Racers in Top Six in Pro Open Points; Polaris is 1-2-3-4 in Pro Lite Points
MEDINA, Minn. (Jan. 7, 2014) - Polaris snocross racers heated up a frigid weekend of ISOC racing in Shakopee, Minn., by winning both Pro Lite finals, claiming five of six Pro Lite podium spots, and by capturing three of six Pro Open podium spots. The Polaris Terrain Domination was on display during ISOC National racing at Canterbury park on Jan. 3-5.
As a result, Polaris snocross racers occupy four of the top six spots in the ISOC National Pro Open points standings, and seven of the top 16 places. Kody Kamm (Hentges Racing) is second in Pro Open points, followed by Ross Martin (Judnick Motorsports) in third and Kyle Pallin (Team LaVallee) in fourth.
Polaris racers are dominating the Pro Lite points race, as they hold down seven of the top 10 positions, including the top four spots. The Pro Lite points leader after the Shakopee weekend is Andrew Carlson (Carlson Motorsports), followed by Corin Todd (Leighton Motorsports) in second, Andrew Lieders (Team LaVallee) in third and Zak Mason (Leighton Motorsports) in fourth.
Pro Open: Kody Kamm Reaches the Podium Twice
Kody Kamm finished second in the Friday night Pro Open final, and the Kenosha, WI, racer reached the podium again on Sunday by finishing third. He was joined on the Sunday podium by Ross Martin of Burlington, WI, who finished second. Polaris racers took five of the top-10 spots in both Pro Open finals.
Kamm left Shakopee second in Pro Open points, followed by Martin in third and Kyle Pallin (Team LaVallee) in fourth. Justin Broberg (Hentges Racing) is sixth in points, Jake Scott (Team LaVallee) is 11th, Levi LaVallee (Team LaVallee) is 12th, Iain Hayden (Rockstar Energy 93) is 16th and Bobby LePage (Cottew Motorsports) is 19th.
Pro Lite: Zak Mason Earns Two Podium Finishes
Andrew Carlson (Carlson Motorsports) won the Friday night Pro Lite final, leading a Polaris parade across the finish line. Zak Mason (Leighton Motorsports) was second and teammate Trevor Leighton (Leighton Motorsports) was third.
Mason returned to the podium after Sunday's final, when he finished third while Polaris racer James Johnstad (Judnick Motorsports) earned the victory. Carlson finished fifth, Jordan Kraus (Relentless Racing) was eighth and Corin Todd (Leighton Motorsports) finished 10th.
In Pro Lite points, Andrew Carlson, Corin Todd and Andrew Lieders are 1-2-3, respectively, and they're joined in the top 10 by: Zak Mason in fourth, Trevor Leighton in sixth, Marcus Johansson (Carlson Motorsports) in ninth, and James Johnstad in 10th.
Polaris Racers Sweep Weekend's Sport Finals
In the weekend's Sport finals, Luke Wollenberg (2 Three 7 Motorsports) won on Friday and finished second on Sunday. That second Sport final was won by Polaris racer Ryan Springer (Carlson Motorsports).
Wollenberg is third in the Sport-class points race, where seven Polaris racers are in the top 13. Ryan Springer is sixth, Braydon Love (444 Motorsports) is eighth, Durk Roper (Roper Racing) is 10th, Evan Daudt (Daudt Racing) is 11th, Jacob Yurk (Team Vermillion) is 12th, and Cole Cottew (Cottew Motorsports) is 13th.
In other classes:
• Justin Tate (2-Eight Motorsports) finished second in the Pro-Am 30+ final and is second in class points.
• Jim Wazny (W&F Racing) finished second in the Adaptive class, and Paul Thacker was fifth.
• Jordan Carlson (Upperacing) won the Amateur final.
The next ISOC National event will be Jan. 31-Feb. 1 in Deadwood, S.D.
