Optivision Technology, Inc. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2019. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 325.418 million compared to TWD 322.885 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 4.440 million compared to TWD 37.220 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 11.165 million compared to TWD 32.211 million a year ago. Basic loss per share was TWD 0.23 compared to TWD 0.67 a year ago. For the half year, sales was TWD 563.752 million compared to TWD 569.492 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 37.116 million compared to TWD 61.782 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 35.842 million compared to TWD 53.994 million a year ago. Basic loss per share was TWD 0.74 compared to TWD 1.12 a year ago.
Optivision Technology Inc. is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacturing and sale of backlight units key components, such as brightness enhancement films (BEFs) and multiple function optical prism films. The Company's products are applied in backlight modules of thin film transistor-liquid crystal displays (TFT-LCDs), used for terminal products such as LCD televisions (TVs), notebooks, LCD monitors, cell phones, digital cameras, global positioning system (GPS) machines, digital photo frames, moving picture experts group layer-3 auto (MP3) displays and other consumer electronic products.
