New Company Structure will Improve Customer Experience, Raise Operational Excellence and Establish New Revenue Streams

Qtel today embarked on a major corporate transformation in Qatar, which will bring more strength and clarity to one of the world's fastest-growing and most successful communications companies.

The transformation process is the result of a year-long review, which examined the company's impressive growth journey of the past five years, as well as the challenges facing the communications sector as a whole.

As a company, Qtel has enjoyed much stronger revenue growth - at around 57 percent per annum - than its regional and global competitors. With the communications industry facing significant changes driven by rising demand for data, Qtel now has the opportunity to leverage its recent growth by changing the way it manages its Qatar operations.

Through the transformation process, which is commencing shortly, Qtel will be reorganised into functional business streams, enabling faster and more effective decision-making. The change process has been designed to improve the customer experience, by enabling Qtel to launch new services and resolve issues faster and more effectively.
